The HOA board retains decision-making authority over governance and major community decisions, with the management team providing consultation and support along the way.
Colby Management uses a dedicated transition team to help a community switch from another management company or from self-management. The process generally includes reviewing financials, governing documents, CC&Rs, and past meeting minutes and policies, collecting outstanding homeowner fees and balances, communicating with the board and vendors, and completing initial inspections and manager onboarding before the transition is finalized.
Colby Management maintains a fidelity bond for added financial protection on behalf of the communities it manages. Its team includes certified HOA management professionals.
